There are only two occasions where credit can be granted for the Graduate Certificate of Perioperative Medicine. These are:
- Where eligible units have been completed as either a Master of Perioperative Medicine (M6033) or Graduate Certificate of Perioperative Medicine (M4029) student, and credited within 7 years of completion. Eligible units include POM5101 or POM5102 or POM5103.
- Completion of unit POM5001 (Perioperative management of the cardiac patient) as part of the Master of Medicine M6027 course is eligible for credit towards unit POM5101 within 7 years of completion.
Recognition of prior learning for any other successfully completed units, courses, or speciality experience is NOT eligible for credit (this includes working in the industry for 10+ years).
